I got a D in first semester (I'm a High School Senior)?

I got a D in AP Economics in first semester. I got accepted to UC Irvine and I was wondering if I should report that grade to them? I am currently re-taking it so if I report the D that im retaking to them will they look at my transcript and essay again to see if they still want me? I got into that school with a pretty low gpa but exceptional essays..
