Should i try to rekindle my relationship with my 1st love????!?

ok so its been a year and a half since we broke up. we were high school sweethearts. we broke up in the middle of being in love cuz he felt my mom didnt want us to be together and things were just getting crazy for no reason. so we broke up as a mutual agreement. ive been trying to not think about him anymore but i loved him soo much. i just want him back in my life now that im grown. i texted him a few days ago just to catch up.then i stopped texting. idk if he is interested cuz if he was he wouldve tried to come see me or sum. should i try to give us another try or just keep it as a memory?
