How do I find the cles I should take to transfer?/What kinds of cles should I be looking for?

As a college student, you must take the initiative in navigating your own future when counselors so often are not very helpful. I suggest you really shorten your list of private universities that you want to transfer to and look on their websites for transfer information. Many times, these universities will have representatives visit college campuses and you will be able to directly ask the representative about transfer requirements. From your short list of private universities, look for cles that match classes on the IGETC. Some English, math or history classes will fill requirements for private universities as well as the IGETC. This is where meticulous planning and organization will be key components. You need to plan out your semesters. And on the way, hopefully you will decide on a major so that you can further tailor your education to fit the requirements of all campuses.
